Involved in the chlorophyll synthesis and in activating many enzymatic molecules which participate to synthesis reactions and degradation of the substances inside the plant.

It acts as fungicide and may contribute to prevent and treat some plant diseases such as oidium and alternariosis.

It improves the absorption of some nutrients essential for plants, such as nitrogen and phosphorus. It may also reduce the concentration of some ions in the soil, as aluminum, which can have toxic effects for the plants.
